Synopsis

Lluc, a biologist marked by the disappearance of his wife María, begins a scientific investigation on Quest, an uninhabited island where supernatural elements are said to live and which was the last place where María was. Little by little, traces of María’s life on the island appear to him, causing him to come into contact with ghosts from her own past. The arrival of Carme, her sister whom he has not seen for ten years, will push him to confront the deepest fears deep inside her.

Quest

Filmed in different locations in Mallorca such as Felanitx, Portocolom, Sa Dragonera or the Sierra de Tramuntana, Quest is the largest Balearic fiction since El belly del Mar (Agustí Villaronga). It stars Goya winner Enric Auquer and actress Laia Manzanares.

It is a film full of fantasy and mystery in which Mallorca is transformed into an island lost in time with a blanket of fog and silences broken by unknown presences. Thus, universal themes such as mourning and guilt are addressed, and a world full of elements of Mediterranean mythology is created.
