Five hundred years ago a woman was crying and screaming.
It is 1523. Margalida Arbona, Joanot Colom’s wife, cries desperately. What has happened so that her husband has been executed, quartered and beheaded? How can she recover? She liked to clean fish with sea water and her tears are salty too. Today, how many women from Afghanistan to the Sahel cry out? In Gaza, Ukraine or Sudan? more than 50 conflicts break the peace of the world.
In all wars there are dead, too many dead, but what happens to those who survive?
From 1520 to 1525 in Majorca, Castile, Valencia and Bavaria, the popular revolts of the peasants and peasants shook the Ancien Régime. On the island of Majorca, the roads were filled with hanged people and the repression was fierce.
500 years later, in the archives, among the papers, we can hear voices. Margalida Arbona, the widow of the leader of the rebels, cries out and tries to survive. Today more than 50 wars break the peace of the world. Cursed be all wars and those who make them.
How many women, from Afghanistan to the Sahel, cry out?
